Man Shik, a Haeundae native, lives a quiet life running a sushi shop and planning to propose to his girlfriend, Yeon Hee, while haunted by a tsunami tragedy from four years ago. Meanwhile, a geologist discovers signs of a massive tsunami forming in the East Sea, but his warnings are ignored—until a super tsunami heads toward Korea with only ten minutes to spare.
